Mosaic tries to demonstrate the love of Jesus in practical ways…
The Food Pantry helps to meet a basic human need (for food), but we hope to meet another need as well- for spiritual food. This ministry is not merely about providing groceries, but about displaying the attitude of Christ to our community.
Serving in this ministry is flexible and happens throughout the month. During our 3rd Wednesday Breakfast we distribute the groceries to those in need.
Servants can participate in a variety of ways:
- Contributing food items (anytime!)
- Shelving/bagging groceries (throughout the month)
- Registering individuals who wish to receive groceries (during the breakfast)
- Giving out groceries (during the breakfast)

Non-perishable food donations are always welcome!
Drop them off in fellowship hall during weekend services or at the office during the week.

Throughout the month of November, we’ve tried to raise awareness of our Food Pantry. This ministry was started in 1964, and we are providing over 150 people with a hot breakfast and handing out 55-60 bags of groceries each month. We often post reminders to “Restock the Pantry”, however, many months we have to buy groceries in order to provide those families with a bag of groceries to take home.
This is an incredible ministry to be a part of, and we just hope that as we talk this month about it, you would just remember that even one extra item donated to our pantry makes a huge difference. Don’t forget to drop by the fellowship hall and pick up your key tag (there are a variety of colors)!
… one more reminder…
… one more item…
… one more family fed.
We have loved seeing our Food Pantry items grow in the sanctuary each week. Thank you to anyone who has donated items to the Food Pantry!
